Parakeets, Poetry, and Prose

We, the editors at Stoneboat, are happy to report that any second now, issue 2.2 will be in our hands, and the several additional online exclusive pieces are already available for you to view on our website. We are very excited that the cover image is a work of art by visual poet, Matthew Stolte.

Please consider purchasing a subscription for yourself or your grandmother. Dogs and parakeets have also been known to enjoy receiving a nice literary journal from time to time, so please don't forget your canine or aviary friends.

Meanwhile, as we await the birth of our fourth child, I ought to mention that we will celebrate the issue with one of our spectacular "new release readings" that will take place at Paradigm Coffee and Music in Sheboygan on Saturday, April 21 from 2-4 p.m.

We have a great roster of contributors who will be on hand to read not only their own work, but several selections by those who could not be present. And, assuming that all the technology will line up the way it is supposed to, we will have Skype-in readings by contributors who live in San Francisco, Alaska, and Sweden for crissakes!

So, don't miss it. Come to Sheboygan in a car, a bus, or a hot air balloon. We would love to see you. We would love even more to sell you a copy of the latest issue, a Stoneboat t-shirt, and a cup of delicious Paradigm coffee, tea, or chai. You decide what you want to drink. We will take care of the prose and poetry. We're also looking into a nice flock of parakeets.

Your friends,
The editors of Stoneboat.
